In 2015, CCI expanded into base metals trading with an experienced team trading in all of the major hubs in London, Singapore and Shanghai. The team currently trades London Metal Exchange (LME) grade metals in their refined form such as aluminum, copper, nickel, lead and zinc.

Global Activities

CCI‘s initial focus has been on the physical acquisition, movement, and storage of refined metals to service the needs of producers, fabricators, and consumers on a global basis. The team hedges its physical activities utilizing LME, Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), and Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) futures, as well as Over-the-Counter (OTC) derivatives. CCI plans to expand the business into raw materials and concentrates trading, as well as the acquisition of assets to complement refined metal trading activities. The team is trading with top tier producers, consumers, metal merchants, and banks in North and South America, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

The business has recently been further expanded by the enhancement of trade finance capabilities to complement its global physical trading. Further, CCI has developed a metal warehousing operation in the New Orleans, Louisiana area. This warehouse has been developed to meet exchange standards and is managed by a team with many years of LME warehousing experience.
